She comes to LSJA from Houston where she worked as a legal assistant in a private firm and was involved in practical support work for healthcare access. As a Policy Intern at the Texas Fair Defense Project in Austin, she conducted policy research on debtors’ prisons in Texas, where people were paying off fines for Class C Misdemeanors through time-served in jail. Bridget received a Master's degree in Public Health from the Department of Management, Policy, and Health at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, where she focused on healthcare payment systems, healthy policy, and maternal and reproductive health. She also has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rice University, where she received multiple awards for her academic and applied work towards sexual violence prevention, service to the University, and service to the greater Houston community.
