Alexandria Shaw earned her Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University, where she majored in Sociology and Spanish Language and Literature. During her time at Fordham, she developed a strong interest in restorative justice, culminating in a thesis on how restorative practices can reduce harm toward Black transgender women within the Black community. She later taught 7th grade English in New Orleans for three years, applying her research to design a program aimed at reducing suspensions and detentions among students with documented behavioral challenges. Alexandria will begin her journey as a J.D. candidate at New York University School of Law in the fall.
