Strategic Litigation Intern

Karthi is a rising 3L at Case Western University School of Law. She studied at the University of Texas at Dallas for her undergraduate degree, majoring in Psychology and Child Learning Development with a minor in Public Policy. She was born in Houston, but raised most of her life in Portland, Oregon, until she came back to Frisco, Texas during high school. Karthi has always had a passion for helping others and working to fix broken systems in our society, interning at nonprofits and on political campaigns during her undergrad studies. Now, Karthi primarily works in criminal defense as of now, with experience as a certified legal intern at Public Defender’s and Legal Defender’s offices, and working in the Death Penalty Lab at her university. She will be interning at the Federal Public Defender of Northern Ohio this coming fall. Currently, Karthi works with the Strategic Litigation team with LSJA to research, analyze, and strategize issues for a client’s potential habeas claims.
