“Sweet Taste of Justice”

Location: The Sunset Room – 310 E 3rd St. Austin, TX 78701

Time: 10/24/24 7-9 pm

Join Lone Star Justice Alliance on October 24th at the Sunset Room in Austin to hear incredible impact stories, celebrate the growth of the organization, and learn about the important work still being done. Hear from Jason Robinson, a currently incarcerated client of the Lone Star Justice Alliance working to ensure others are granted the civil liberties he was not afforded. Jason will be introduced by his father Larry Robinson, a decorated war veteran and current Lone Star Justice Alliance board member. Then, visit with Lone Star Justice Alliance staff and some of their biggest supporters while enjoying a three-course dinner and sweet treats from Café Momentum, an incredible partner in the space of re-entry and reform.

A survey of 130 youth survivors of human trafficking conducted by the National Survivor Network found that more than 40% had been arrested 9 times or more for actions performed under coercion by their adult abusers. Their resulting criminal records then make it difficult for them to get a job or to access safe and affordable housing, both of which are vital to achieving independence, stability, safety, and lowering recidivism.
